SUKKUR: The abduction of a trader and his son on Tuesday caused men and women from the Brohi tribe to protest on the Indus Highway near Jacobabad. Sources claim that the trader Liaquat Brohi used to deal in bricks and was from the Ahmed Mian Soomro village. He went to the Bhaley Dino Abad village with his seven-year-old son Israr to attend a wedding but never came back. On Thursday, his relatives received a phone call from the kidnappers asking for one million rupees and threatened to kill Brohi and his son if the money was not paid on time. The Jacobabad Saddar DSP Khuda Bux Panhwar negotiated with the protesters and ended the demonstration.
