FAISALABAD:
Mansoorabad police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting his two daughters on complaint on his wife. An FIR has been registered against the suspect, Rustam Ali, a resident of Ellahiabad under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Talking to The Express Tribune, his wife Yasmeen alleged that her husband was an alcoholic and that he had been sexually assaulting their 14-year-old and 10-year-old daughters for over a year. She said earlier she restrained herself from reporting the crime fearing that he would beat her up. “Mostly he comes back home drunk. He would then beat me,” she said. She said she had remained silent as long as it was about her. “He crossed all limits the day he raped his own daughters,” she said. She said she could not yet move court to seek dissolution of their marriage fearing that he would kill her.
