Stolen Oil: Police recover NATO oil tanker

Police officials have recovered a stolen NATO oil tanker from Faisalabad and nabbed two outlaws involved in seizing stolen oil worth more than Rs10 million.


According to police officials, raiding teams conducted an operation and arrested an accused Afzaal who planned on leaving a stolen oil tanker at Chiniot Road near Chak Jhumra after emptying the tanker. Superintendent Police (SP) Madina Town Abdul Qadir Qamar told reporters that the police had arrested the accused after receiving an anonymous top off and also arrested two other members of the gang. The accused have been identified as Owais and Khabardar Fateh ullah. The SP said that the accused snatched an oil tanker from the Shorkot area, while it was heading for Kabul from Karachi. He said that the tanker contained oil costing Rs6.5 million which was removed so that the empty tanker could be parked near Chiniot.
