Chris Brown wins big at BET Hip-Hop Awards

Chris Brown presented with three honours including Best Hip-Hop Video for 'Look at Me Now.'



Honouring the best and brightest in their genre of music, the sixth annual BET Hip-Hop Awards was broadcast on October 11. Chris Brown was awarded with three honours, including Best Hip-Hop Video for “Look at Me Now,” but was not in attendance since he’s currently on his F.A.M.E tour. However, he posted on microblogging site Twitter, “Thank you BET but most of all TeamBreezy (Brown’s official fan base website).”


The lively awards show, hosted by funnyman Mike Epps and emceed by Da Brat, opened up with a performance by rapper T.I. The event also featured performances and appearances from such big stars as Swizz Beatz, Lupe Fiasco, Erykah Badu and Eminem. Special honoree of the night was LL Cool J who was saluted with the “I Am Hip-Hop” Icon Award.

Other winners at the BET Hip-Hop Awards included Lil Wayne, with two awards, as well as Kanye West and Jay-Z. Kanye West won CD of the Year, thanks to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Meanwhile, Jay-Z took the Hustler of the Year title.
