SWAT: Police arrested an ex-Tehrik-e-Taliban terrorist from the Charbagh area on Tuesday after they received a tip-off, according to officials.

The terrorist was identified as Umar Ali from Kabal tehsil.

Ali was wanted by law enforcement agencies in connection with a number of ‘anti-state activities’.

He was shifted to an unknown location for further investigation. Over the last week, security forces have killed four terrorists in Charbagh after two days of continuous operations.

Charbagh area was once a stronghold of the Taliban’s Swat chapter before being purged of militants by the Pakistan Army after a successful operation.
