China Open winner Tomas Berdych jumped three places to seventh in the ATP rankings.

China Open winner Tomas Berdych jumped three places to seventh in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings released yesterday, giving the Czech valuable points towards one of the eight berths in the season-ending World Tour Finals in London. Serb Novak Djokovic holds the number one ranking ahead of Spain’s Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer of Switzerland. Berdych overtakes France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who was beaten by the Czech in the Beijing semi-finals and drops one place to eighth, with American Mardy Fish and France’s Gael Monfils also dropping to ninth and tenth respectively.
