Pakistan conducts dope tests on players
LAHORE:
The Anti-Doping Organisation of Pakistan has been conducting dope tests on players in different sports by using the kits provided by the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada).
“Athletics is considered as the mother of sports, which is why most of the kits were used on more than two-dozen athletes during the recently concluded Athletics Championship,” Dr Waqar Ahmed told The Express Tribune. Ahmed also claims that more action is being taken to ensure athletes from different sports are aware about doping. “Last month, the Anti-Doping National Seminar was organised for the very first time to spread awareness about doping in the national federations,” said Ahmed.
