Boxing: Aloyan, Alvarez win gold in Baku

Russia’s Misha Aloyan and Cuba’s Lazaro Alvarez got the better of Britons Andrew Selby and Luke Campbell to clinch gold medals at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Baku.
Aloyan defeated Selby by a narrow 13-12 margin in the flyweight final, whereas Alvarez emerged with a 14-10 victory over Campbell in the bantamweight contest.
Selby must now win a box-off against Khalid Yafai to secure a sole spot for Team Great Britain in the 52kg category at the London 2012 Olympics, while Campbell has already qualified in his division.
