How the Cookie Crumbles: Biscuit factory shut down

FAISALABAD:
A team from the Pakistan standard and quality control authority sealed a biscuit manufacturing factory in Faisalabad on Friday. According to police, the factory was sealed for preparing substandard products and for operating under unsanitary conditions. According to officials, substandard biscuits were being made at the unit situated in Darul Ihsan. There was no laboratory assigned to check the quality of the products. “These substandard products were being supplied across the country,” said inspector Haider Khan.
