Curbing crime: 120 Rangers personnel deployed in SITE

Enhanced patrolling needed against extortionists and kidnappers.

KARACHI:
Around 120 Rangers men were deployed to control street crime in SITE.


The step seemed to work and no crime took place in the area in the last 48 hours, said the chairman of the SITE Association of Trade and Industry, Muhammad Irfan Motan. He said that checkpoints were being set up on roads coming to the area. Besides checkpoints, 20 motorcycles are also patrolling the area 24 hours of the day. He appreciated the efforts of Rangers and the Chief of Army Staff. Motan said that a meeting was held with Area Commander Brigadier Waseem Ayub to discuss the law and order situation. A complaint cell was also set up in SITE stadium.
