FIA to investigate fake dengue fumigations: Malik
Malik retaliates to criticism by PML-N members.
ISLAMABAD:
In retaliation to ‘personal criticism’ by members of the PML-N, Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday claimed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would investigate into the alleged fake fumigation against dengue in Punjab.
He was speaking to reporters outside Parliament after a session of the National Assembly. He said that the government of Punjab should focus on solving the problems faced by the people instead of holding sit-ins and protests.
Malik said he had directed the police and the security agencies to provide security to members of the PML-N who were staging a sit-in in front of the President house.
“I know the planning of the PML-N sit-in was made in room 140,” said Malik. He also said he regretted that a ‘certain leader’ had asked the world not to give Pakistan much needed aid.
