Obstructing Audit: FIR registered against govt official
FIR against a government official on charges of intimidating and preventing a government servant from doing his job.

The Banni police on Thursday registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a government official on charges of intimidating and preventing a government servant from doing his job. Abdul Qayyum, Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Gujjar Khan, said that Government Superior Services of Pakistan Cooperative Housing Society Secretary Malik Shabbir threatened him with dire consequences and refused to hand over official records for audit. Moreover, the Deputy District Officer (DDO) Cooperatives Rawalpindi has summoned a special general meeting of the society members on October 25. According to a notification issued here on Thursday, the DDO observed that the society’s affairs are not being regulated as per law. Land of the society is being encroached upon by land grabbers, owing to unlawful behaviour of the secretary for collaboration with the land grabbers and misconduct with the cooperatives staff. The members’ input would be taken in the meeting for outlining a plan to get the encroached land vacated from the land grabbers.
