CHEONAN:
US Open champion Rory McIlroy is hoping to turn a recent run of high finishes into a victory at the Kolon Korea Open starting today in Cheonan. The world number three followed up back-to-back third-placed finishes at the Omega European Masters and KLM Open with a runner-up finish at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last week. “I really enjoyed myself two years ago when I came to Korea, but I finished third,” said McIlroy. “Because of that I took the opportunity to come back and try and win the event.”
