Paul predicts wins for Spain and Germany

Paul the oracle octopus predicted on Friday that Spain will win against the Netherlands in the FIFA World Cup final.

OBERHAUSEN: Paul the oracle octopus predicted on Friday that Spain will win against the Netherlands in the FIFA World Cup final.

It has also predicted a Germany win over Uruguay for a third-place play-off on Saturday.

The octopus that has become a World Cup sensation by correctly predicting all six Germany games, plumped for his country of residence, live on national television.

The two-year-old mollusc medium then predicted the result of the final between Spain and the Netherlands.

Football predicting has become a dangerous job for the English-born Paul however with some bitter German fans threatening to turn him into sushi after he correctly predicted a semi-final defeat for them.
