Meeting With Governor: KWSB MD returns after assurances
Agreed to continue in office after a meeting with the governor.
KARACHI:
The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board’s (KWSB) managing director, Misbahuddin Farid, who resigned Monday, has agreed to continue in office after a meeting with the governor. “The governor told me that my resignation was not accepted and that I should attend to office as MD,” Farid said, adding that Dr Ishratul Ebad had listened to his grievances. Farid also met local government minister Agha Siraj Durrani and the chief secretary. They said that they would help him resolve the departmental issues. Meanwhile, chief engineer for bulk supplies Najam Alam Siddiqui has gone on leave.
