Will now be held in Islamabad in the last week of December.
KARACHI:
The Asian Kabaddi Championship, which was postponed last September at India’s request following a clash with the Commonwealth Games, will now be held in Islamabad in the last week of December. Asian Kabaddi Federation (AKF) Secretary Mohammad Sarwar said that after months of uncertainty over security fears, the federation finalised the venue and dates at its meeting in Kuala Lumpur. Federation members were eventually convinced that the law-and-order situation has improved considerably ahead of the championship to be held in Pakistan.
