LAHORE:
The service records of all members of the Lahore Police, including their annual confidential reports, pensions and any criminal complaints against them, will be computerised, said Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir. In a statement issued on Monday, the city’s police chief said that the move would make the police more efficient. The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will assist in the process and allow the Police Head Office to access the information online. Tahir also urged all members of the police to register themselves and their families for computerised ID cards. He said that NADRA vans would soon visit the Lahore Police Lines for the purpose. He said that policemen without computerised ID cards had met difficulties in withdrawing their salaries.
