DUBAI:
All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief General (retired) Pervez Musharraf has condemned the arrest of two party workers in Lahore. In a statement issued on Monday, the former president demanded that the provincial government immediately release Abdullah Sardar and Mubashar Ahmad, two APML workers. He said the two workers were arrested by the police from a stall displaying his party photographs and placards near Kalma Chowk for no reason. Musharraf said arresting peaceful citizens without establishing any charges against them was a violation of their constitutional rights.
