A two-day international conference on healthcare and medical education will be held in Lahore on October 8-9

A two-day international conference on healthcare and medical education will be held in Lahore on October 8-9, said organiser Dr Haroon Latif Khan. The conference will be one of six being held with the cooperation of multinational companies involved in the healthcare industry, he said, and will bring together some 5,000 medical professionals from all over the world. The topics to be discussed include management issues, healthcare delivery in developing countries, family medicine, gynaecology, medical education, teachers, the pharmaceutical industry, and service differences between private and public sector hospitals. The event will bring together drug manufacturers, hospital and college administrators, students, and doctors and other medical staff, he said. The chief minister will inaugurate the event.
