Overworked, underpaid: CDGK workers demand overtime allowance
Workers will not work after their official timings since they were not getting paid for it.

The workers of the city district government have threatened to protest on October 5 at Civic Centre if they are not paid their overtime allowance.
The chairman of City District Government Karachi (CDGK) Workers Union, Syed Zulfikar Shah, said that the workers will not work after their official timings since they were not getting paid for it. They have been working overtime fumigating the city as part of the anti-malaria and dengue drive.
The city government failed to provide security to fumigation teams working during the night, he added.
