Tennis: Tipsarevic claims first title

Captured the first title of his career as he recovered from a slow start to beat Marcos Baghdatis.

KUALA LAMPUR:
Serb Janko Tipsarevic captured the first title of his career as he recovered from a slow start to beat Marcos Baghdatis 6-4, 7-5 for victory at the Malaysian Open. Tipsarevic, seeded third, had been the only player in the top 20 without an ATP title but he cleared up that problem in just over two hours of struggle at the Putra Stadium. Wildcard Baghdatis, once a member of the top 10, was unable to hold onto his early lead as Tipsarevic clawed back the momentum, winning with nine aces and five breaks of serve.
