Trade Secrets: Rival groups pull out guns at meeting

Several people were injured in the encounter and strong contingents of police were summoned to the scene.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Two groups quarreled at the annual meeting of the traders and members of both groups ended up pulling out guns. According to traders, one of the groups was protesting against calling the meeting at the factory of the patron in chief on Friday evening. Following this, both groups exchanged harsh words and pulled out guns. Several people were injured in the encounter and strong contingents of police were summoned to the scene. Due to the brawl, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNAs Mian Abdus Sattar and Javed Warraich failed to address the meeting. Police officials registered cases against several traders and have launched an inquiry into the incident.
