Prostitution: 2 cops arrested from brothel

Series of raids revealed that six brothels were operating in the district.

A case has been registered against two policemen for allegedly extorting money and patronizing brothels in the district.


According to Seetal Marri police, several police teams were constituted to conduct a series of raids in the district and discovered six brothels operating in the district.

Police officials also found that two of the brothels were frequently visited by police officials. Raiding teams caught two policemen Khalid Javed and Muhammad Amin on the site and arrested them.

“The men were seen extorting money and the brothel owner told us that she was being blackmailed by them. She said that she was providing them with prostitutes in exchange for their silence,” inspector Bashir said. The brothels have been shut down and separate cases have been registered against the owners.

On the instruction of senior officials, Multan police will be continuing their raids to search for any remaining brothels in the district.  Seetal marri police has registered case against the constables and taken them in for questioning.
