Training Course: Diabetic foot care assistant certification
Diabetic foot care assistants are highly demanded worldwide.

A six-week course on the care of diabetic feet will be held for nurses, paramedics and operation theatre technicians at the Baqai Institute of Diabetology and Endocrinology on Monday. Dr Asmat Nawaz, the course coordinator, said that the participants who complete the course will become certified “diabetic foot care assistants.” He said that diabetes is a major health issue in Pakistan and the ‘diabetic foot’ is a complication of the condition. Diabetic foot care assistants are highly demanded worldwide but there is a shortage in Pakistan, he added.
