Standard Procedures: ‘Helpline staff should be trained regularly’
Training instructors urge development of SOPs to help maintain a standard of services and uniformity of procedures.

The government and civil society should take adequate steps to check the increasing violation of the rights of children and women and ensure that there are adequate avenues for abuse survivors to get prompt help and justice.
This was said by the speakers at the end of a three-day training course, on standard operating procedures (SOPs), with Sindh Social Welfare Department workers on Saturday.
It was held for the staff of Sindh Social Welfare Department by Madadgaar, the helpline for women and children, and Unicef.
They said that regular trainings should be held for social workers and the staff of Madadgaar to make them aware of the changing trends and methodologies.
According to them, developing SOPs help in maintaining a standard of services and uniformity of procedures.
