ISI chief Lt-Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha has denied US accusations that the country supports the Haqqani network. “There are other intelligence networks supporting groups who operate inside Afghanistan. We have never paid a penny or provided even a single bullet to the Haqqani network,” he told Reuters. Pasha reportedly told the all parties conference on Thursday that US military action in Pakistan would be unacceptable and the army would be capable of responding. But he later said the reports were “baseless”.
