Kotwali and Gulgasht police have registered separate cases against two people for issuing bogus cheques on Friday. According to police officials, Asif Ali issued bogus cheque worth Rs 4.9 million to Kotwali resident Umar Farooq which bounced and was dishonoured by the concerned bank. Meanwhile, Rana Azhar issued a bogus cheque worth Rs 550,000 to a man identified as Husnain which bounced. The banks contacted police officials and the police has registered separate cases against the accused.
