Oxford University Press: Month-long book fair begins today
Discounts of up to 30 per cent on 60,000 titles including new books.

The Oxford University Press will cut prices by up to 30 per cent for its annual book fair, to be celebrated at all its stores from October 1 to 31. Apart from reduced prices, the shops will arrange special activities for children, like colouring competitions, word games and quizzes, as part of the book fair.
Asadullah, the manager of Oxford Book Shop Lahore, said around 60,000 Oxford titles would be sold at discounted prices, including the latest books. Imported textbooks would be sold at 20 per cent discount, while local titles would have a 22.5 per cent discount. Dictionaries will be available at a 30 per cent discount, he said.
The Oxford University Press also has shops in Islamabad, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Sargodha. The OUP publishes many school books and its dictionaries are quite popular in Pakistan. It also has a growing range of Urdu publications including Patras Kay Mazameen, Tilism-i-Hoshruba, Alif Laila, Majmua Mirza Farhatullah Baig and the Urdu Virsa series featuring poems by the likes of Hali, Faiz, Mir Anis and Josh Malihabadi.
