Dolly Parton’s manager drops lawsuit against her nephew Bryan Seaver
Lawsuit accused Bryan Seaver of threatening Parton’s estate after his security company was dismissed

Dolly Parton’s longtime manager has dropped a lawsuit against her nephew, Bryan Seaver, following a dispute over the late country music star’s estate and business interests.
The civil case was filed by She's Alive, the company managing Parton's business interests, less than a month after her death in August.
It accused Seaver of threats, intimidation and coercion, and included a request for a temporary restraining order. Seaver denied the allegations.
In a statement to CBS News, Seaver's attorneys said he was "grateful to put this misunderstanding behind him so that the family can grieve peacefully".
Seaver is the son of Parton's sister Cassie and previously worked as the singer's head of security.
His company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services (SAPS), provided security for Parton for the final 20 years of her life. Both Seaver and his company were dismissed by She's Alive weeks after he publicly confirmed the singer's death.
Danny Nozell, Parton's longtime manager and head of She's Alive, had sought a temporary restraining order against Seaver and SAPS, which was granted by a judge.
Court documents accused Seaver of "an obscene, deliberate and escalating campaign of threats" after he allegedly demanded payment from the estate.
The filings also included messages in which he was accused of threatening to damage Parton's brand and business interests if his demands were not met. They further alleged that he used his experience as a military contractor to intimidate employees.
Seaver rejected the accusations. In a statement previously published by TMZ, he described himself as a "career soldier and military contractor" but said he had simply been "talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend".
The lawsuit's withdrawal brings the civil dispute to an end, although the allegations made in the original filings were denied by Seaver.
