PML-Q leader and Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain has dismissed reports that he is backing PML-N candidate Qazi Ibrahim Gujjar in the NA-77 by-election.
Reacting to media reports, Salik said misleading claims had first been circulated about the Gujrat deputy commissioner and that the latest allegations falsely suggested he was supporting a candidate against the PML-N.
He accused unnamed elements of deliberately diverting attention from the real public issue and portraying a corruption scandal as a personal feud.
