GHQ attack case adjourned for 15th time
Trial remains stalled for 14 months

The hearing of the GHQ attack case was adjourned for the 15th time without any proceedings on Thursday as the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) fixed November 19 as the next date.
ATC Special Judge Amjad Ali Shah adjourned the hearing amid the continued failure to operationalise the video-link facility required for the trial.
Although the Punjab government had ordered the case to be conducted through WhatsApp video link, the system at both the courtroom and the jail court has remained non-functional for nearly a year, preventing the production of PTI founder Imran Khan before the court, even through video link.
Imran Khan, a former prime minister, was marked present on the basis of the jail record, while the attendance of former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was also recorded through the jail authorities.
Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed appeared in court, accompanied by his lawyers.
