Travis Kelce responds to Prince William trying to remove him from Taylor Swift photo
Travis joked that he was only Taylor’s boyfriend when the royal family selfie was taken in 2024

Travis Kelce has responded with humour after Prince William revealed that he tried to move the NFL star out of a photograph with Taylor Swift during her 2024 London concert.
Speaking on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs player said he understood the Prince of Wales’s reasoning.
“I get it, man,” Travis said. “I was just a boyfriend at that point. You know? I was not her husband yet.”
Travis joked that William might have wanted a lasting photograph with Swift and his children without the uncertainty of her new relationship. Jason also called the royal’s thinking understandable, noting that the couple were still dating when the picture was taken.
The original photograph featured Swift, William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Travis backstage at the singer’s concert in London in June 2024. The image attracted attention because it marked a public photograph of Swift and Travis together alongside members of the British royal family.
William previously discussed the moment during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. He joked that he had tried to move Travis out of the frame because he wanted a picture with Swift and his children. According to the prince, Travis kept returning to the photograph.
The New Heights team then offered William a playful solution. Jason revealed that the podcast’s graphic team had edited Travis out of the original image, leaving Swift and the royals in the frame. The team also shared another version replacing Travis with Jason.

Travis welcomed the edit and joked about sending it to the royal household.
The exchange revisited a memorable moment from Swift’s 2024 concert and showed the good-natured response from the brothers. William’s original comments were made in jest, and Travis appeared equally happy to play along rather than take the remark personally.
