David Walliams, former ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge, reportedly dropped from upcoming film following misconduct allegations
The report says Walliams had not signed an official contract for the project

David Walliams, the British comedian, children’s author and former Britain’s Got Talent judge, has reportedly been removed from an upcoming film following allegations of misconduct, according to TMZ on October 28, 2026.
Walliams first became widely known through the sketch comedy series Little Britain, which he co-created with Matt Lucas. He later built a successful career writing children’s books and serving as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
A source connected to the film said Walliams had been removed from the project after the allegations emerged. The report claimed that he had appeared on a preliminary cast list but had not signed an official contract. His name was also reportedly removed from the film’s IMDb listing.
The production has not been independently confirmed to have issued an official statement explaining the reported casting change. Further details about the film’s production and whether another actor will take the role remain unclear.
The report follows other professional setbacks for Walliams. In December 2025, publisher HarperCollins announced that it would no longer publish new books by the author following allegations concerning his behaviour towards female employees. The publisher later confirmed that it would also stop publishing his existing catalogue.
Walliams has denied wrongdoing. His spokesperson previously said he had not been informed of the allegations raised with HarperCollins, had not been involved in an investigation and had not been given an opportunity to respond. He has also said he is taking legal advice.
His reported removal from the film should not be interpreted as proof that the allegations have been established. The available report does not confirm the production’s reasons through an official announcement or indicate that a formal finding of misconduct has been made.
