WWE couple CJ Perry and Miro Barnyashev reveal they are expecting a baby boy

WWE stars CJ Perry and Miro Barnyashev are expecting their first baby together after an emotional in vitro fertilisation (IVF) journey.

The couple revealed exclusively to PEOPLE that they are expecting a baby boy, with Perry due to give birth on April 28, 2027.

Perry, 41, and Barnyashev, 40, began their IVF journey in 2025. They underwent an embryo transfer on August 10, 2026, before waiting for pregnancy test results. Perry said their first test came on August 19, followed by another on August 21 to confirm the pregnancy.

The former professional wrestler described the waiting period as nerve-racking, explaining that the couple had to trust the process amid uncertainty. Sharing their reaction to the news, Perry said hearing their baby’s heartbeat for the first time filled her with gratitude and joy.

The couple also spoke about the emotional challenges of IVF, including waiting to learn how many embryos continued developing and receiving genetic testing results. Their first embryo to receive normal genetic test results was a boy, and it was the embryo they selected for transfer.

Perry and Barnyashev have chosen the name Bear Petrov Barnyashev for their son. Barnyashev revealed that he had envisioned naming his son Bear around 10 years ago, while the middle name Petrov honours his father. The baby will be his father’s first grandson.

During her pregnancy, Perry initially craved pickled vegetables and eggs, but later experienced nausea and food aversions. She has recently been relying on kefir and kale and fruit smoothies.

The couple said they are excited to begin parenthood after the difficult journey. Barnyashev also joked about their plans for their son’s future, saying they hope to move to Spain and enrol him in the Real Madrid Football Academy.

Perry said they are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to become parents and look forward to meeting their baby boy.
