‘Chicken Shop Date’ finale heads to cinemas ahead of YouTube release
Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date finale will screen in cinemas across the UK, Ireland and Paris on November 24

Amelia Dimoldenberg’s popular interview series Chicken Shop Date is heading to cinemas for a special screening celebrating its final season after 12 years online.
The one-night-only event will take place on November 24 across selected cinemas in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Paris, in collaboration with YouTube’s Cine Club. The screening will feature all six episodes of the final series, including exclusive new material and an unreleased interview that will premiere on YouTube three days later, on November 27.
The final season features conversations with Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher, singer Jorja Smith and musician Role Model, among others.
According to the announcement, the cinematic experience will also offer a behind-the-scenes look at Dimoldenberg’s relationship with Chicken Shop Date and her decision to end the long-running series. Combining comedy, nostalgia and personal reflection, the event is intended to celebrate the show's legacy and give fans a farewell to the internet format.
Participating venues include Picturehouse Central and Curzon Soho in London, Duke of York’s Picturehouse in Brighton, Vue Manchester Printworks, Vue Edinburgh Omni Centre, Vue Bristol Cribbs Causeway, Vue Birmingham Star City, Vue London Westfield and Vue Dublin Liffey Valley. Paris audiences can attend a screening at mk2 Bibliothèque.
The public screenings will follow invitation-only premieres in London on November 16 and New York City on November 17. Dimoldenberg is also scheduled to participate in question-and-answer sessions at the premieres.
The presenter announced last month that Chicken Shop Date would be ending, reflecting on how the series had become an important part of her life while expressing a desire to pursue new opportunities.
Launched 12 years ago, Chicken Shop Date became widely recognised for its awkward humour and unconventional celebrity interviews. The theatrical screenings will offer audiences an opportunity to revisit the series before its final episode arrives online.
