Amelia Dimoldenberg’s ‘Chicken Shop Date’ finale gets one night only cinema event
The November 24 screenings will feature all six episodes, exclusive material and an unreleased finale

Amelia Dimoldenberg is bringing the final series of Chicken Shop Date to cinemas for a special one night only event before its last episode arrives on YouTube.
The screenings will take place on November 24 at selected cinemas across the UK, Ireland and Paris, in collaboration with YouTube’s Cine Club. According to Variety, the event will feature all six episodes of the concluding series, including interviews with Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher, singer Jorja Smith and musician Role Model.
The cinematic presentation will also include exclusive new material and conclude with the final episode, which audiences will be able to see three days before its planned release on YouTube on November 27.
The event marks the end of a project that Dimoldenberg has developed over 12 years. Known for its awkward humour and unconventional celebrity interviews, Chicken Shop Date has become a recognisable online series, with Dimoldenberg meeting famous guests in chicken shops and asking them playful, often deliberately uncomfortable questions.
A statement announcing the screenings said the film would offer a personal look at Dimoldenberg’s relationship with the show and her decision to bring it to an end. It will combine comedy, nostalgia and reflection on the series’ history.
Participating venues include Picturehouse Central and Curzon Soho in London, Duke of York’s Picturehouse in Brighton, and locations operated by Vue in Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, Birmingham, Dublin and London’s Westfield shopping centre. Paris screenings are scheduled at mk2 Bibliothèque.
The public screenings will follow invitation only premieres in London on November 16 and New York City on November 17. Dimoldenberg is also scheduled to take part in question and answer sessions at those premieres.
She announced last month that she planned to end Chicken Shop Date, explaining that although she once imagined the series continuing indefinitely, she felt ready to move on to a new chapter.
The final cinema event offers fans an opportunity to revisit the format and see its last episode ahead of its online debut.
