'Enola Holmes' star Louis Partridge to star in and produce 'One Last Summer'

Louis Partridge to star in and produce 'One Last Summer', a coming-of-age film shot in Tuscany with Mia Jenkins

Enola Holmes star Louis Partridge is set to headline and produce One Last Summer, an independent coming-of-age film that has completed filming in Tuscany, Italy.

Partridge, also known for his role in House of Guinness, will star alongside Mia Jenkins, whose credits include Love Me Love Me and Geek Girl, and Jude Carmichael, who appeared in Dear England at the National Theatre. Additional casting details have not yet been announced.

Written and directed by Misha Citron, the film follows Milo, played by Partridge, who returns to the Tuscan countryside to visit the home of his late, estranged father. He arrives with his best friend Zac, portrayed by Carmichael, before agreeing to a double date with two American travellers.

What begins as an enjoyable encounter gradually takes an unexpected turn, forcing the characters to confront their past experiences, their present identities and the changes they face as they prepare to leave Italy. The story explores youth, attraction, insecurity, grief and the intensity of relationships formed over a short period.

Partridge and Citron have co-founded Pipe Dream Films, the production company behind One Last Summer. Partridge described the project as an opportunity to experience creative collaboration from both sides of the camera, adding that the filmmakers hoped to create something that would appeal to young audiences while retaining a broader emotional connection.

Citron said the film aims to capture the intimacy and emotional intensity of youth, including the uncertainty surrounding attraction, fear and loss.

The project is produced by Jim Parks, known for Steven Soderbergh’s The Christophers, alongside Maya Nurmohamed and Saskia Steinberg of Blue Lobster Productions.

The film marks another project for Partridge as he expands his work beyond acting into production. A release date for One Last Summer has not been announced.
