Mumbai Police are investigating a threatening email that reportedly named Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Mumbai residence and singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming concert in the city, according to Gulf News.

The email allegedly referred to Bachchan’s bungalow, Jalsa, and Dosanjh’s scheduled performance at Mahalaxmi Racecourse. According to the report, it also mentioned several other locations, including the Mumbai mayor’s office and schools, while specifying dates and times for alleged attacks.

The message reportedly identified October 31 as a date linked to a purported attack on Bachchan’s residence and referred to November 27 in connection with Dosanjh’s Mumbai concert. Police are examining the email’s origin and assessing the credibility of the threats.

Meanwhile, Dosanjh’s October 30 concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi has received police clearance following discussions between event organisers and Delhi Police.

Permission had initially been withheld amid security concerns, threat-related inputs and policing commitments during the festive season.

According to Gulf News, event organiser BookMyShow Live subsequently met police officials and submitted a detailed security plan covering crowd management, traffic arrangements and other event-related requirements.

Following the discussions and submission of the proposed arrangements, police granted permission for the concert to proceed. The organisers also dismissed reports suggesting that the Delhi event had been cancelled, confirming that it would take place as scheduled.

The performance is part of Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour, which features concerts in multiple cities.
