Singer Atif Aslam has given fans an exclusive first look at the official music video for Safar Main Hu, a track from his latest album, Subah Aye Na, sharing a mountain-themed poster on Instagram alongside poetic Urdu verses about love and longing.

In an Instagram post, Aslam confirmed that the full music video would be released soon, although he did not announce a specific date.

The caption opened with the lines:

“سفر میں ہوں، تو عشق ہے جانے بھی دوں کیسے؟
تو اوس ہے، میں ہوں صبح، تیرے بن جیوں کیسے؟”

Translated into English, the couplet reads: “I am on a journey, and you are love itself — how could I ever let you go? You are the dew, and I am the morning — how could I live without you?”

The verses evoke a journey shaped by love, comparing the beloved to morning dew and the singer to the dawn. The imagery also echoes the title of the album, Subah Aye Na. Announcing the first look, Aslam wrote: “The long wait is over. Here is the exclusive first look at the official music video for #SafarMainHu from the album Subah Aye Na.”

He added that every frame was a painting and every melody a piece of his heart, inviting listeners to leave a wave or heart emoji in the comments if they were ready to embark on the musical journey with him. “Full music video dropping very soon. Turn your notifications ON,” he wrote.

The mountain-themed poster offers a glimpse into the visual world of the song, with the natural landscape complementing the romantic tone of the accompanying verses. Aslam has yet to share further details about the video's storyline or whether the full release will build on the imagery featured in the poster.

Safar Main Hu is part of Subah Aye Na, Aslam's fourth studio album and his first full-length release in 18 years. The eight-track record marked his return to an album format that helped establish him as one of Pakistan's most recognisable pop-rock artists.

The album features Subah Aye Na, Safar Main Hu, Ishq, Let's Have Some Fun, Sunn Sajna, Hun Ishq Main, Chaar Yaar and Sachey Wadey.

Aslam's last full-length studio album, Meri Kahani, was released in 2008. His earlier albums, including Jal Pari and Doorie, helped build a catalogue that has remained popular with listeners across South Asia.

Ahead of the release of Subah Aye Na, Aslam spoke about reconnecting with his artistic roots after years of touring and working on commercial projects. He described the process as a return to basics, explaining that he wanted to make music that reflected his own experiences and creative instincts.

The singer has also expressed a desire to release albums more regularly, suggesting that the project could mark the beginning of a new phase in his musical career.

With the first look at Safar Main Hu now revealed, fans are waiting to see how Aslam translates the song's romantic lyrics and scenic imagery into a full music video. For now, he has offered a poster, a couplet and a promise that the wait will soon be over.
