Sexual Assault: FIR against police officer

She complained that the police officer who was investigating her case had allegedly tried to sexually assault her.

MUZAFFARGARH: City police have registered an FIR against a police officer on charges of assault following a complainant against him. According to officials, Zareen Firdous complained that the police officer who was investigating her case had allegedly tried to sexually assault her. Firdous told police that the man had threatened to compromise her case if she told anyone about the incident. “He said no one would investigate it if I did not listen to him,” she told police. City police has filed an FIR against the accused police officer under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and has launched a full investigation into the charges.
