Carrie-Anne Moss has praised Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams while teasing a significant scene they share in the upcoming supernatural mystery series Yaga.

Speaking during AMC+'s Spotlight Panel at New York Comic Con on October 9, the 59-year-old actress discussed working with Williams, 25, in the eight-episode series created by Kat Sandler.

“I think I just have one scene with him,” Moss said. “It was really great. It’s a big one, though. It’s a big scene. And he’s lovely. And what more can I say? He’s a lovely guy. He’s talented.”

Sandler, who also attended the panel, jokingly reminded Moss that she could not reveal details about the scene, keeping the mystery surrounding Williams’ role intact.

Based on Sandler’s 2019 play of the same name, Yaga reimagines the Slavic folklore figure Baba Yaga, a powerful witch known for her unpredictable nature and complicated morality.

The story follows private investigator Rapp, played by Noah Reid, as he investigates the disappearance of Henry Park, a young fishery heir portrayed by Williams. The actor also plays a second character, Logan, adding another layer to the mystery.

Moss plays Katherine, a university professor whose connection to Henry draws her into the investigation. As the case unfolds in the coastal town of Whittock, secrets, ancient magic and mysterious relationships emerge.

Known for playing Trinity in The Matrix franchise, Moss said she was already intrigued by the Baba Yaga legend before speaking with Sandler about the project. She also praised her character, describing Katherine as a role that suited her acting style.

Yaga will premiere on AMC+ on Friday, October 23, with two episodes released initially. New episodes will follow weekly, leading to a two-episode finale on November 27.
