LAHORE:

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has helped a woman living in Depalpur reconnect with her family in Bangladesh after nearly 40 years of separation.

According to a PSCA spokesperson, Koh Noor had allegedly been abducted from Bangladesh and brought to Pakistan when she was eight years old. She had spent decades searching for her family before approaching the authority's Virtual Centre for Child Safety for assistance.

The team launched a search and shared her details and video on social media to seek public assistance.

A person residing in Dubai contacted PSCA officials after watching the video and provided information about the woman's family in Bangladesh along with contact numbers and identification documents that helped the team trace her relatives.

The PSCA team contacted the family in Bangladesh and verified the relevant details. Officials subsequently visited Koh Noor at her home and arranged a video call with her relatives.
