Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed on October 16, 2026.

The 56 year old music mogul is serving a 50 month federal sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. Combs and his legal team are awaiting a decision on his appeal.

The transfer follows reports about alleged contraband and special treatment during his time at Fort Dix. According to reporting cited by The Hollywood Reporter, Combs allegedly used a jailbroken tablet with Instagram installed and arranged for fellow inmates to receive money in exchange for helping with chores and other personal tasks.

Fort Dix officials reportedly sanctioned Combs for “disruptive conduct” and removed 41 days of good conduct time he had accumulated during his first year at the facility. He had also been moved into a special housing unit before suffering a head injury that led to a brief hospital visit.

The prison bureau confirmed the transfer but declined to discuss the circumstances, citing privacy, safety and security concerns. FCI Allenwood Low is a low security federal facility in Pennsylvania, near Williamsport.

Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, told the Associated Press that decisions about inmate placement are made by the Bureau of Prisons and said he could not comment on the reasons for the move. He added that Combs remained focused on moving forward and expressed hope that his time at the new facility would be productive.

The transfer comes during a difficult period for the once influential hip hop executive, whose criminal trial attracted extensive public attention. His sentence was imposed in October 2025 after the jury delivered its split verdict. The latest move does not change the conviction or sentence, and the outcome of his appeal remains unresolved.

The Bureau of Prisons has not publicly confirmed whether the reported contraband allegations directly prompted the transfer.
