Brad Pitt faces fresh family speculation as children reportedly change phone numbers
Several of the former couple’s children have also taken steps to remove Pitt from their surnames

Brad Pitt is reportedly facing further distance from his children, with a new report claiming that they have changed their phone numbers and that the actor is considering another way to reach them. The claims were published by the Daily Mail, but the details have not been independently confirmed.
Pitt shares six children with his former wife, Angelina Jolie: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox. The couple separated in 2016, and their divorce was finalised in December 2024.
The family’s strained relationship has attracted renewed attention as several of the children have taken steps to remove Pitt from their surnames. Shiloh legally changed her name to Shiloh Jolie in 2024. Zahara’s name change to Zahara Marley Jolie was approved in 2026, while Maddox and Vivienne have also pursued changes to their names. These decisions are personal and do not, on their own, establish the reasons behind the family’s estrangement.
Pitt has not publicly confirmed the phone number claims in the report, and there has been no independently verified statement establishing that all six children have changed their numbers. Any suggestion that he has developed a plan to contact them without Jolie’s involvement should therefore be treated as reported speculation unless evidence emerges.
Their separation has also involved a long running legal dispute over Château Miraval, the French winery they once co owned. The legal proceedings and the children’s individual decisions have continued to generate headlines, but the family’s private communications remain out of public view.
The report’s central claims remain unconfirmed. Public records and previous coverage document surname changes by some of the children, but they do not verify the alleged phone number changes or the reported plan attributed to Pitt. Comment from the actor’s representatives or additional reliable reporting would be needed to establish those details.
