Teacher assaulted by supervisor

Nagra threatened to fire her because her documents were forged.

SIALKOT:

Police have registered a case against accused Abdul Rasheed Nagra for attempting to rape a teacher after blackmailing her.

Daska-based former central information secretary of Punjab Teachers’ Union Nagra was accused of trying to rape a teacher after demanding a bribe for her to keep quiet about her academic documents. “The woman’s documents were not real but she was desperate to keep her job. She lived alone and was supporting herself. She agreed to paying him off,” said Rabia Kausar’s colleague Madeeha.

According to the FIR lodged by Rabia Kausar, the accused had been blackmailing her and said he would have her sacked if she did not do what she said.

“I needed my job so I gave him Rs100,000. Then he asked for Rs 20,000,000 and when I told him I didn’t have it he tried to rape me,” she said. Nagra took her into a separate room, where he tried to rape her. When Rabia raised alarm the accused escaped but threatened to ‘visit her again soon’. Rabia has filed for police protection.  PPI
