Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said the party does not claim ownership of the official X account of its founder, Imran Khan, as the Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted him more time to submit a written response in a petition seeking the account's closure.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, while hearing a petition filed by Ghulam Murtaza, adjourned further proceedings until November 23.
Barrister Gohar appeared before the court in person, along with Imran's lawyers Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry and Shamsa Kiyani, officials of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and other parties.
During the hearing, the court observed that Barrister Gohar had not been summoned to appear in person and could have simply submitted his written response.
In response, the PTI chairman maintained that the party did not claim ownership of the X account.
He requested additional time to file his response, arguing that circumstances had changed. The court granted the request and directed him to submit his position in writing.
After Barrister Gohar sought further time to file a detailed reply, the court adjourned the hearing until November 23.
