Jason Statham is back as Adam Clay in the first trailer for The Beekeeper 2, the sequel to his 2024 action thriller. Amazon MGM Studios released the trailer on October 15, revealing a new mission that pits the former assassin against the secretive organisation he once served.

In the original The Beekeeper, Statham played Clay, a retired operative who returns to action after his friend dies following a phishing scam. His investigation leads him through a network of powerful figures connected to the fraud.

The sequel raises the stakes as the Beekeepers turn rogue and attempt to seize control of the United States government. According to the official synopsis, Clay is pulled back into the fight and must confront the very organisation that trained him.

The trailer also features Jeremy Irons, who returns alongside Jemma Redgrave and Emmy Raver-Lampman. New cast members include Pom Klementieff, Adam Copeland, Bobby Naderi and Yara Shahidi.

Kurt Wimmer, who wrote the first film, returns as a screenwriter alongside Zak Penn, whose credits include Free Guy and Ready Player One. Timo Tjahjanto, known for directing Nobody 2, takes over directing duties from David Ayer, who helmed the original movie.

Statham has remained active in the action genre since the first film's release, starring in A Working Man, Shelter and Mutiny. The actor is also attached to Jason Statham Stole My Bike, which is expected to arrive in cinemas in summer 2027.

The Beekeeper 2 is scheduled to open in theatres on January 15, 2027. The sequel continues Adam Clay's story with a new threat, setting up another confrontation filled with action and high-stakes conflict.
