Joe Manganiello reveals friend’s offer to abduct Sofía Vergara’s ex Nick Loeb

Joe Manganiello says a friend offered to abduct Sofía Vergara’s ex-fiancé Nick Loeb amid their bitter legal dispute.

Joe Manganiello has revealed that a friend once offered to abduct and assault Nick Loeb, the former fiancé of his ex-wife, Sofía Vergara, in response to what he described as repeated attacks against the actress.

In his new memoir, Bloodlines, the actor recalls becoming angry over Loeb’s legal battle with Vergara regarding the embryos they had created during their relationship. Manganiello also cited protesters allegedly sent to confront Vergara at the premiere of Magic Mike XXL as another source of frustration.

According to Manganiello, a friend working in private security offered to have Loeb abducted, taken to a remote location and beaten. The actor admitted that he considered the proposal but ultimately decided against it.

Instead, Manganiello said he chose to let karma take its course rather than become involved in a potentially violent situation.

The actor also recalled telling Vergara that they should avoid being in the same public setting as Loeb. He said he feared he might lose his temper and physically confront him if they crossed paths.

Manganiello’s revelations appear in Bloodlines, which also addresses other aspects of his relationship with Vergara and their subsequent separation.

In another account from the memoir, the actor claims that Tom Cruise may have influenced his chances of landing the lead role in Amazon Prime Video’s Reacher. Manganiello reportedly suspects that Cruise, who previously dated Vergara, may have intervened in the casting process.

The claims about Cruise and Loeb have not been independently established. Representatives for Loeb had not responded to TMZ’s request for comment at the time of its report.

Manganiello and Vergara married in 2015 and announced their separation in July 2023. Their divorce was finalised later that year.

The memoir offers Manganiello’s account of the personal tensions surrounding his marriage, while the allegations concerning Loeb and Cruise remain claims made by the actor.
