Joey Graziadei and Jamie Chung spark romance in 'The Holiday Spark' trailer

Joey Graziadei is stepping into a leading acting role in The Holiday Spark, a new Christmas romantic comedy starring Jamie Chung, premiering on The Roku Channel on November 2.

The former Bachelor star, 31, plays Dean, a firefighter who teams up with Laura, a children's book illustrator played by Chung, to organise an unforgettable holiday party for his firehouse. As they work together, the pair begin to reconsider their views on romance and the possibility of finding love unexpectedly.

Graziadei previously appeared on The Bachelorette and led season 28 of The Bachelor before winning season 33 of Dancing with the Stars. He also made a cameo appearance on 9-1-1, playing a version of himself during a fictional fire at the Bachelor mansion.

The Holiday Spark marks his first leading role in a scripted production.

“Getting to be part of a Christmas movie has been such a fun and special experience,” Graziadei told PEOPLE. He added that the cast enjoyed bringing the story to life and expressed hope that audiences would return to the film during future holiday seasons.

An exclusive trailer offers a first look at the developing romance between Dean and Laura. After meeting the firefighter, Laura tells a friend that she experienced “that feeling”. Their connection grows during a date to select a Christmas tree for the firehouse, although Dean's demanding job repeatedly interrupts their time together.

During one dinner date, Dean leaves early after hearing another emergency siren. He later tells a fellow firefighter that he wants to be with Laura for the rest of his life. His friend encourages him to pursue what he wants rather than avoid it.

The trailer concludes with the pair sharing a romantic moment beside a fireplace. Laura compares their connection to a spark, prompting Dean to say he wants to keep it burning before leaning in for a kiss.

Chung, known for her appearance on The Real World: San Diego, joins Graziadei in the festive romantic comedy, which explores love, commitment and second chances.

The Holiday Spark premieres on The Roku Channel on Monday, November 2.
