Sam Levinson, the creator of HBO’s Euphoria, has signed an overall television deal with Amazon MGM Studios to develop and produce new projects for Prime Video and other Amazon MGM platforms.

Under the agreement, Levinson will work alongside his wife and producing partner, Ashley Levinson, through their production company, Tiny Goat Productions. The pair will develop television projects for the studio as part of the deal.

Levinson is best known for creating, directing and executive producing Euphoria, the drama series starring Zendaya that ran for three seasons from 2019 to May 2026. The show also featured Colman Domingo, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer and Alexa Demie.

During its run, Euphoria received 32 Emmy nominations and won nine awards, including two for Zendaya in the lead actress category for a drama series. Levinson also received a Directors Guild of America Award in 2023 for his work directing the show’s second season.

His other credits include the films Assassination Nation, released in 2018, and Malcolm & Marie, released in 2021. He also created the 2023 HBO drama series The Idol.

Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, welcomed the partnership in a statement, describing Levinson as an original television creator known for storytelling that connects with audiences worldwide. He said the studio was pleased to welcome both Sam and Ashley Levinson and provide them with a platform to develop new projects.

Levinson also expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, saying he and Ashley appreciated the trust placed in them by Friedlander and his team and looked forward to producing content for audiences around the world.

The deal expands Amazon MGM Studios’ television development slate, bringing the Euphoria creator and his production company into its portfolio. Details about the first projects planned under the agreement have not been announced.
